New Money is the hot new music video from Zaman Lewis AKA Zams, featuring rapper Zed Koen New Money brings the new school rules to the ring with their contemporary trap styles.
Vibrant cinematography makes this video pop with colour and movement.
I really like how this track starts with the warping tempo creeping its way into the drop. It really draws you in. The track definitely bangs, and the rappers kept it lyrically straight with enough multis and double time rapping to keep the pace hurtling towards the dance floor.
I really enjoyed the vibe and the fantastic presentation involved in this video and song. It really is well done.
Zams probably has the best website name ever for a Kiwi Hip-Hop artist - www.hiphop.co.nz. His website is slick, and his potential is through the roof. Zaman has definitely produced some outstanding work for his new single.
So, a massive congratulations for a great contribution to NZ Hip-Hop and what is likely to be a bright future.
Ya’ll killed It!

JCK formed in music school in 2002 as `JCK and the dirty ho bags`. Back then It was James Castady-Kristament as MC and 3 female back up singer and dancers. That incarnation didn`t last long but one of the singers Lou Ludbrook would go on to be the second member of JCK in its second incarnation as a boy/girl duo. They worked hard writing recording and playing shows around Auckland City which eventually payed off. In 2004 they caught the attention of respected Indie label Pagan/Antenna records and scored a record deal. Soon after, they were successful in receiving funding from New Zealand on Air and recorded their debut single ‘Freak in the club’ with an accompanying music video, Freak in the club was a “Hip Pop” single that took the nation by storm and played on all of New Zealand’s music television shows for a good part of a year.
