Award winning Kiwi veteran, LA based recording artist Matthew J. Ruys has released the brand new bright and funky single Rainbows, just in time for those feel good summer vibes.
Rainbows is the follow up track to the infectious People X People which features Speech, from Matthew’s album Things Broken, Things Awoken.
The song made me smile from beginning to end. Triggering so many different memories of youthful sunny days. This is such a happy and positive track, delivered in a smooth RnB style, reminiscent of jams you might find on a 1990’s playlist. Hearing Rainbows is a like joyous injection of musical soul food. The artwork accompanying this single is cheerful and bright, bordering on psychedelic.
Listening to this tune is like entering a time machine in more ways than one. I found myself transported back to a simpler time by a catchy beat and melodic vocals. There is such a carefree vibe about Rainbows, you can’t help but smile.
This has to be the most poolside perfect song I have heard so far this year.
