Single Review: Knowing You're Mine 1

This release is the debut single for Kristin and Nick, two highly experienced and focused musicians based out of the City of Sails. Titled Knowing You’re Mine, it’s an homage to their influences of old school R&B, blended with the neo-soul of today, and it could be described as smooth and professional, and ready for radio. That, however, would be an injustice to the warmth and sheer heartfelt joy that’s been captured here in a three minute overture to love that can survive distance and circumstance.

Citris iNK (smiley wee anagram of their two names) has signaled their intent here. Using Atlanta, Georgia native Mo’Dre as producer, and harnessing Nick’s seasoned campaigner multi-instrumentalism coupled with Kristin’s quite frankly beautiful vocal performance, we have the goods here. Dripping professionalism and careful attention to detail, we have a glowing mix for a sweet and easy love song that captures the bands influences and delivers; and with a whimsical, simple and sweet video to accompany and not overpower the song, this act needs to be paid attention to.

I hope, as a former indie label owner myself, that Citris iNK has the representation to get this single radio and TV bound. It deserves it. Experience it late at night in a low lit lounge with your significant other. Happily though, you can equally experience it over a summer’s afternoon in the garden – alone or over the barbie.

Citris iNK is one to keep an eye on for the future. I certainly will be. And remember… take a ride.
