Single Review: Am I Blind To Love 1

Sixteen year old Peyton Morete from The Kapiti Coast, is a singer-songwriter who has been making music since she was nine. This is her new single; Am I Blind To Love, and it is a stunning representation of her hard work and dedication to her music.

The voice and sound that Morete delivers completely belies her age, she has a maturity in her vocals and wisdom in her lyrics. The rich velvet tone she produces, in my opinion far exceeds her 16 years. This is a breathtakingly beautiful track. Strong, powerful vocals carry the emotive and mature lyrics.

The original song was inspired by a character she played in a dramatic piece, of an abused wife.

This young lady with the lovely voice is extremely dedicated to her music; she has already released one EP and has been performing regularly for the last six years in the Wellington and Manawatu area.

It is little wonder that over the last few years she has received awards from Smokefree Rockquest, The annual Pride Awards and Kapiti Champion of Change awards. She has also been selected for The Pinnacle Programme which mentors teens between 15 and 18 who are high achievers in one or more fields.

Am I Blind To Love is a powerful song delivered beautifully. Peyton Morete will be one young New Zealand musical artist to keep an eye on.
