I love the ending to this pop rock song - it’s not your typical finish… so, make sure to check the song out all the way through.

Auckland three-piece Violet Highway have teamed up with Scallywag Records to record this single as part of a not-for-profit project called the ‘Live Rooms’. The sound quality is fantastic and it really gives it a great live feel, huge!

Violet Highway have a powerful, but poppy with heavy guitar spilling out all over this track. There’s some great riffs from the 80’s and punchy power chords which accompany great melodic storytelling vocals from lead singer Jacqui. Carrying the song forward whilst being a trio means someone has to double up on instruments. That’s Jacqui on Guitar and vocals, nice!

What instantly grabbed me was the Cure-esq bass riff. Not a million miles away from A Forest, which makes it sound retro and cool. I Love it. I am looking forward to seeing what this young group pull out of the bag next.
