Odds & Ends present what might have just become my summer anthem as they give us the song Better Days.
Koen Aldershof, Jonathan Meyer, Max Earnshaw, and Luan Meaker make up the Dutch-Kiwi Indie Rock band, and already have 4 singles and an EP reviewed right HERE with us, and yet I would dare to say that this may just be their best effort to date.
The unique blend of musical styles that these guys have strung together delivers a fun, happy, and hopeful song that Koen describes as “a song that is hopefully going to transport people to their happy places.” and I believe that is more than achieved, with the hook of the song searing itself “Higher and higher and higher” into the front of my head. The production and mixing of this track was handled within the band itself, with Koen and Luan taking up the effort.
So, to ultimately summarize, Odds & Ends have here what I think is an absolutely excellent song, one that should be at the very top of your Summer playlists, and I can only wait to see what these guys are going to do next. Better Days is available to stream on all your favourite services on Friday November 18th, accompanied by a single release show at The Tuning Fork. And, if I had the chance, you can bet that I’d be up front, singing along with them.
