Aotearoa... Nobody Does It Better Album Review 1

Dam Native return 15 years after the release of the classic ‘Kaupapa Driven Rhymes Uplifted’ to blow us away with their second album ‘Aotearoa… ‘Nobody Does It Better’.

‘Aotearoa…’ is like original Dam Native trying to revive the tradition of making solid New Zealand crafted lyrics and music. Their authentic sound is carried through with ‘Rebel’ and ‘The Son II’.

Recorded over 5 years, the new 10 track album feels more personal and determined, it definitely shows growth from the guys who cultivated Maori Language in Hip Hop.

‘Sirens In The City’ with Tyna is an outstanding classic that reinforces that Dam Native are rooted in our musical history. While, ‘The Majestic’ and ‘Cracked It’ offer a new presence and passion, which make it easier to forgive the last 15 years of silence and hope that there is more to come.
