Gunt

So we get to the last band of the night and it looks like everyone has left, I look around and there’s maybe a handful of people in the bar and it’s not looking good…

As GUNT make their way onstage and begin to play I look down to check my phone and by the time I had read my text and looked up again the bar was full… I can only think of one word to describe this strange phenomenon… GUNT.

With a hurricane of dreadlocks and metal the crowd was swept into yet another raging circle pit, it appears the Palmerston North metal scene loves them a bit of GUNT.

A range of musical influences was becoming more and more evident as the set goes on but not in a bad way, far from it- you can’t help but want a bit of GUNT for yourself and luckily they had plenty of copies of their debut E.P for sale on the door!

Whether you love great metal that gets your head bangin’, or you just think that any band with a name like GUNT is worth listening to, you should definitely check these guys out in a town near you!
