Wellington band Dartz releases new single ‘High at the Beach’

Wellington, New Zealand – Poneke punks Dartz have lifted the lid on summer early with new single High at the Beach releasing worldwide on Friday 18 September.
Dartz is the band from Wellington, New Zealand. Since igniting onto the Wellington scene last year, the Dartz boys have quickly gained a reputation for their energetic live sets, relatable lyrics and party-starting punk tunes packed with rowdy singalong choruses.
After a gig-heavy debut year for Dartz that included the release of debut EP No Matter Whatz, support slots for Aussie rockers The Chats and NZ’s Miss June, and playing a world record 14 Crate Day house parties in one day, High at the Beach is the first single from the Wellington band’s as-yet-untitled second release.
Recorded with Hunter Jackson (Doprah) and Joel Cosgrove (Eyegum Music Collective), High at the Beach is Dartz’s unique take on a Kiwi summer anthem. “High at the Beach was the first song we wrote together as a team,” says singer and lyricist Danz. “After spending so many months stuck inside, and dealing with the mental health and other issues that come along with that, it’s about finally reaching out to your buds, embracing happiness and friendship again.”
Dartz’s new single High at the Beach releases on Friday 18 September, 2020, available on Spotify and all other music streaming platforms.
