At a time when Covid has dampened the live music scene, Violet Highway were stoked to be able to burst back onto stage for a live music video performance. Thanks to the professionalism of up-and-coming NZ music legends, Scallywag Records, the end-product captures the best of both worlds – showcasing the energy and vibe of a live performance without compromising the audio recording quality.
Violet Highway is an Auckland based trio who play a fiery blend of Blues, Pop and Rock. Their sound is anything but predictable – think grooving bass lines, drum splashes in all the right places, dirty guitar squeals, and room-tearing vocals. Unashamed of their pop ties, the band combines their broodiness with harmonies and catchy riffs ensured to get their audience moving. With a new drummer and singer to boot, they are excited to share their latest single with fans, and to get back on the stage ASAP (with an unplugged set if necessary!) with gigs lined up in April and June.
