Tohu get ready to make waves with debut te reo Māori single ‘Nōku Nei Te Aroha’

Tamarakau Hiini who goes by the artist name of Tohu is set to release his debut single Nōku Nei Te Aroha with the release of the music video on the 12th of September 2022.
Inspired by his own journey in finding love, Nōku Nei Te Aroha is a Pop/Soft Rock te reo Māori love song with lyrics and a feel that is sure to leave the heartstrings wanting more. In April this year, he got engaged to his rock and beautiful loving partner Nadine, who he dedicates this song to.
With the backing from Te Māngai Pāho, Nōku Nei Te Aroha was recorded and mixed by Evan Pope at Studio 11b in Tauranga. The mastering was done by Chris Chetland at Kog Studios in Auckland.
The music video was filmed in Rotorua by Shelz Media.
In 2017 he started following his musical passion with his hybrid unique sound, soulfully smooth vocals and te reo Māori vibes. From there, Tohu was created.
Just a few years after the birth of his newfound passion, Tohu (Tama) started to perform live, gracing the stage at the Waiata Maori music awards in 2019 with Taisha Tari, opening for Origin Roots Aotearoa and Chad Chambers. Also with his previous band, he opened for Tomorrow People, Pieter T and House of Shem, as well as many local gigs.
Exciting times are ahead for this East Coast talent.
