Throng Emerge From The Depths Of Winter With A Duo Of Single Releases

Emerging from the depths of winter, Throng are proud to announce the release of two new tracks.

The songs Heat Death Of The Universe and From Paris To Berlin stream from the 12th July and 19th of July respectively and are up currently on Bandcamp for purchase.

Though vastly different in foundational vibe they are both painted with Throng’s characteristically unorthodox strokes. Familiar, genre-specific way points are warped or absent entirely with the more club focused canon of EDM production eschewed in favour of slowly evolving melodically driven stanzas that glitch & crackle with undertones of imperfection.

Heat Death Of The Universe is a gentle, contemplative 120 bpm musing on entropy, a wistful homage to the end of things. A slowly building chord sequence ebbs & swells over an angular syncopated rhythmic skeleton while softly haunting ear candy serenades the listener from the periphery.

From Paris To Berlin drops in, guns blazing from the outset with a sinewy 130 bpm Krautrock-esque barrage before tides of synth usher the listener into more melodically expansive quasi-techno territory. The harsh screech of trains & oblique bass line pulse, sharp-cornered beneath an unsettling blanket of subtly atonal ambience.
