This Silent Divide releases ‘Outside’

Wellington rock band This Silent Divide announces the release of their new single Outside, now available on all music streaming platforms.
“Outside is an utter beast that will tear wallpaper off walls and make the neighbours complain” – Flash Trax
“They have managed to combine thumping drums, over the top bombastic guitars and vocals which is a wall-of-sound of punchy grunge, full of passion and power” – House of Prog
This Silent Divide are a rock band from Wellington, New Zealand that mix driving drums, wall-of-sound guitars and melodic overtones to create catchy, high-energy songs. They are known for their tight and powerful live sound that gets audiences moving.
Outside is the band’s third release of 2023, following on the heels of singles Beautiful Creature (May) and Morning (July), which received positive reviews and radio play in New Zealand, the US & UK.
Outside is a wall-of-sound rock song, with big guitars and soaring, sing-along chorus vocals. Lyrically Outside touches on a darker theme of obsession. Once again the band recorded at Wellington’s award-winning Surgery Studios, with the song produced and mixed by Toby Lloyd from Tiny Triumph Recordings (Sea Mouse, Macho Macho) and mastered in Germany by Robin Schmidt (The Hives, Royal Blood, Arctic Monkeys).
2023 has seen the band gigging regularly including playing the iconic Wellington CubaDupa festival and returning to the studio in October to record Outside and a future 2024 single.
“We’re delighted with the enthusiastic response from radio in NZ and internationally to earlier singles Beautiful Creature and ‘Morning’ and can’t wait to unleash our new single at our upcoming shows“, says vocalist and guitarist Shaun Jones.
