Sweet Mix Kids Release 'stargazing'

Stargazing is a disco influenced intergalactic journey featuring contributions from an eclectic lineup of NZ and International guests including Rei, Dillastrate, Hawkins, Sens F, Vikae, GetSet, Zado, Induna, Mikeyy, Mr. 110, Laura Lee Lovely, Quinn Devero, Classic Williams, Lou’ana, Cee Blu, Blake and Pati. Stargazing is disco, funk, rap, soul & electro and was recorded over the course of a whirlwind year of travel and touring – from Nashville, Tennessee to Aotearoa’s Rakiura/Stewart Island.

Building off the success of their debut album Radio With Pictures in 2021, Sweet Mix Kids are once again holding an exclusive launch in a secret location to celebrate the release of Stargazing.

Following the NZ Launch Party, Sweet Mix Kids will hit the road for exclusive listening parties, premiering the album for intimate overseas audiences in Los Angeles (9/10), New York (10/10), Lisbon (13/10), Rome (14/10), Paris (15/10) and London (16/10). All release events will be complemented by 2 special edition natural wines, created by Sweet Mix Kids, Stargazing Pinot Noir, and the Gravitate Pet Nat Sauvignon in association with Still Life Wines.

The release of Stargazing marks the latest achievement for Sweet Mix Kids in a 2022 that has already been full of highs – They have performed in the USA, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg, Australia, and all over New Zealand, including at the sold out 14,000 capacity Synthony show at Auckland’s Spark Arena. Following the release of Stargazing they will perform at the Melbourne Cup Carnival, Our House Festival, and Hideaway Festival among others before the year is out.

To add to this goodness, Sweet Mix Kids have performed at some of the worlds coolest parties, clubs and festivals – Coachella, Rhythm & Vines, Melbourne Cup Carnival – and toured supporting or playing private parties for Adele, Ed Sheeran, Rudimental, Netsky, Flume, Coldplay, Deadmau5, Schoolboy Q, Empire Of The Sun, Marshmello, Rae Sremmurd & Martin Garrix. In 2019 they were finalists for Best Electronic Artist at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.

Sandon and Chris embody versatility & taste both in the studio where they produce the full spectrum of modern music, and onstage; where they incorporate electronic drums & samplers, live instruments, guest vocalists and dancers, mixing every genre in flamboyant live performances.
