Sounds In The Sun The Biggest Student Orientation Festival

Once again, USU Students’ Association at Unitec is running the biggest student orientation festival in the country – Sounds in the Sun. Last year, the event saw a crowd of over 9000 people rocking the Unitec fields to some of NZ’s top musical talents. This year, it aims to be bigger and better with more entertainment on site and a line-up impossible to resist.
You will see the likes of The Black Seeds, Katchafire, Kids of 88, Kidz in Space, J Williams, Mt Eden Dubstep and North Shore Pony Club jamming their tunes to a crowd of students and the general party goer.
There will be market stalls, food, a licensed area, giant inflatable water slide and other entertainment.
As always, Sounds in the Sun is FREE for everyone so bring along your friends and family to make the most out of the last days of summer.
Wear red and black to support USU’s appeal to raise money for Christchurch. There will be collectors in the crowd, so look out for them and give generously. You can also ‘Shout Canterbury a Drink’ by placing one of your drink tokens in the collection.
Lock in Thursday 10th March in your diary and head down to Unitec fields (Gate 3) from 12pm – 8.30pm.
