Pass The Peas release music video and single ‘Too Much Touch’ and announce upcoming EP ‘Pop’

Pass The Peas make their hotly anticipated return to the airwaves with their catchy new single Too Much Touch and sparkling new music video, out now on all platforms.
Inspired by the days when you don’t want to get up and the nights when you don’t want to go to bed, lead singer Kurt Verkuylen says: “The EP is a tribute to my Pop, who always found the humour in any situation, including his eventual demise.”
Pass The Peas have again collaborated with friend and notable Wellington producer Toby Lloyd to produce their new EP, with Too Much Touch taking a synth-heavy, nostalgic approach to pop-rock – just in time for those outdoor Covid friendly summer parties everyone’s been looking forward to. Samuel Austin (Lowdown Dirty Criminals, Wellington Paranormal) Bella Austin (Toi Whakaari alumni) and Callum Devlin of Teams Sports Team, and Hans Pucket, directed and produced the video, capturing the band’s fun-loving charm and sporting skills at a Kiwi summer lawn bowls, birthday setting.
Pass The Peas’ last EP Strange Favours received critical acclaim in 2020, featuring on end of year Best Of lists alongside names like BENEE, L.A.B and The Beths and airing on multiple radio shows (including RadioActive FM’s Recharted). Pass The Peas have been invited to play shows and festivals across Aotearoa, with their gigs known for their energy and Verkuylen’s enigmatic stage presence. The band has developed an extensive and diverse fan base since their debut EP Greek Heat in 2018, who can’t wait to see what they do next.
Look out for a hot summer of shows and singles; with Kurt, Alice, Jamie, Tiho and Ben set to take their hook-filled sonic delights on the road and into the New Year.
