Oakley Grenell Releases ‘Aether’ Single

“This one has some bounce and features one of my dirtiest bass lines ever from the Central Records Catalogue,” says Melbourne-based Kiwi musician and producer Oakley Grenell.
He celebrates 22 years of his independent record label with his new single, Aether, which marks his first foray into the new shuffle-based Dubstep sound sweeping the world. The track will be released on Friday, September 20th, 2024.
Grenell chose to keep this track minimalistic by manipulating a melodic vocal sample and mixing it with a catchy, gritty bass line. Aether showcases Grenell’s skill in producing harder, dance floor-oriented tracks, reminiscent of the sound that marked the 20th anniversary of his debut LP, Uncharted, which was digitally re-released earlier this year and nominated for a B-Net Award.
Oakley can be seen and heard weekly during his hour of Visual Radio, streaming live on Twitch with collaborator Max Shotta as part of Friday Night LETOFF from 5-6 pm PST.
New single How You Like That feat. Jennine Bailey is set for release this October 2024 on Central Records.
