Model Home release single, announce album and nationwide release tour
The Christchurch sad songs quartet Model Home are here with the second single Midnight, Dragon Garden off their debut album. A lilting ode to friendship, Midnight, Dragon Garden is warm and cosy, a song you can sink into or yell along to depending on your mood. Today also brings an announcement of the album release date, September 15, and of their New Zealand album release tour throughout late September.
This debut album …And Nobody Made A Sound was recorded at Roundhead Studios with Steven Marr. First single Leaky Home Simulator 2031 reached #4 on the New Zealand Student Radio chart with its snappy guitar parts and vocal interplay. The band aren’t the only ones excited; they have won two indie labels to their cause: Papaiti Records will release the album in Aotearoa, while False Peak Records will do the same in Australia. Pre-orders are available from this Friday July 21 for LPs (on 180 gram orange vinyl!) internationally via Bandcamp, in Australia via the False Peak website and in New Zealand via Flying Out.
Midnight, Dragon Garden will be available everywhere on 21 July.
…And Nobody Made A Sound will be released 15/9 digitally and on vinyl via Papaiti and False Peak Records.
