Quirky and endearing songwriter Gareth Thomas will join Hot Chip frontman Alexis Taylorin his stripped back solo piano show at The Tuning Fork on October the 18th.
With songs filled with what the New Zealand Herald describe as a “childlike sense of delight”, Gareth has long been hailed as one of New Zealand’s finest songwriters, beginning with his alt-pop act Goodshirt, who fast found international recognition with multi-platinum album sales and a number one single with their hit track, Sophie.
His single All Eyes In The Room from his latest offering Fizzy Milk earned him a nomination for 2016’s APRA Silver Scroll Awards and received an honourable mention at the International Songwriting Competition in Nashville.
He’s toured alongside the likes of The Dandy Warhols, The Flaming Lips and Dave Dobbyn and collaborated with the likes of Fazerdaze and Bic Runga.
