Dunedin Rising Stars Ivy Unveil New Single ‘North End’

Fresh off their victory in the Radio One FM Bring the Noise competition in September, alt rock quintet Ivy have released their new single North End, inspired by their ‘creative home’ on the edge of the Otago Harbour in Dunedin.

Ivy’s North End is a melodic masterpiece that showcases the band’s ability to seamlessly blend genres, bringing funk and rock elements together into an exciting experience for fans and newcomers alike.

“We do our song writing and rehearsal at the North End rowing club on the Otago Harbour, it is a stunning and dramatic environment for us to create in and we have tried to capture this with our music. We couldn’t be more excited about the release – it’s a song that’s very close to our hearts.”  said Ivy’s lead vocalist, Jesse Hanan.

Having won the Radio One FM Bring the Noise competition in September, Ivy has been on a steady rise to stardom. The competition provided them with the platform to showcase their incredible talent and distinctive style, earning them recognition in the local music scene. Now, North End is set to elevate their profile further and establish them as a force to be reckoned with in the Aotearoa music industry.
