DMY Foundation is proud to present the Indie Musicians Toolbox workshop at the Hamilton Arts Festival

DMY Foundation is proud to present this event as part of the Hamilton arts festival Toi Ora ki Kiirkiriroa.
This presentation is a symposium for independent musicians who want to learn some of the essentials of the music industry.
Three industry professionals guide you through the importance of music copyright and collecting royalties, a brand new music streaming service, and hands-on tips on how to improve the quality of your home studio recording sessions. Guest speakers:
Trevor Faville: DMY Foundation, DateMonthYear, Everlasting Bonfire, secondary music specialist teacher at Te aho o te Kura Pounamu.
Lora Thompson: Head of Department, Audio Production at SAE, The Sour and Empress.
Brendan McCarthy: Owner of Backbone Music Services, Apollo SteamTrain and Orpheus Mac.
DMY foundation’s Trevor Faville says “the intent for this is to take a granular, nut-and bolts approach to three specific topics, featuring speakers who are experienced in their respected fields, and very much still practitioners in the independent music landscape. I am especially excited to have been given this opportunity by organisers of the Hamilton Arts Festival”
