Brian Baker Releases Two New Tracks – ‘Down Low’ and ‘The Boat Builder’
It’s taken some time but Brian Baker is now a resident of Whanganui with a brand new recording studio and boutique record label as well! This accounts for the long break in between releases – Down Low is his first for the year but well worth the wait.
After a moody, chilled start the song kicks into the chorus pushed along with killer guitars and a bass track from Kiwi bass legend, Frazer Jones. The guitar gets a solo at 1’37”. Both songs are brand new and were recorded in the new Whanganui studio then mastered by Don Bartley of Benchmark Mastering in Australia.
Down Low will be not only be available on all the usual streaming outlets but there’s also a very limited release of signed, numbered lathe cut vinyl copies up for grabs. These are quite period correct – mastered in mono and created by hand at Johnny Electric Lathe Cut Records in Christchurch New Zealand. Definitely one for the collectors and supporters.
