Bailey Wiley ‘Take it From Me’

There’s something about Bailey Wiley. If you’re yet to catch the voodoo, the first single to drop from the aptly titled upcoming EP, Still On My Mind, should get you hooked.
Take It From Me released Wednesday 30th September and with this first track Wiley is serving up a heavy hitter. The follow up to her 2014 debut album, the much acclaimed IXL brings another heady dose of Wiley’s affecting neo-soul sound; and comes off the back of her current base in Berlin, where she has been busy crafting the first track’s EP, as well as generating some sound offshore exposure.
A true artist, Bailey’s Berlin jaunt has had her honing her musical prowess – lately composition and song writing, working with Noah Slee and producer Ben Esser; and on stage with performances along side Noah at Melt and Lollapalooza Festivals in Berlin with some regular smaller underground sets at local joints.
So far 2015 has seen her tour and collaborate with many of New Zealand’s finest including Fly My Pretties, Raiza Biza, Laughton Kora, Third3ye and Supervillains (RMC) to name a few. Continuing to prevail in the mastery of her live performance along side band Yoko-Zuna; Bailey has touched down in our waters for more dates yet to come including New Years Eve at Northern Bass festival, it looks as though this is a bandwagon set to stay in motion.
