Amber Carly Williams releases first single ‘Lights Down Low’

Christchurch-born musician Amber Carly Williams releases her first single called Lights Down Low on 20th December 2019. This Pop/R&B track is bound to prick up ears with its catchy melody and unforgettable lines. With a combination of production sounds and experimental real sounds, the warm tones of this song create a memorable listen.

This song started out with simpler production and less drum beats, but it then took a turn and changed from a more acoustic sound to a modern ‘Pop’ song. Amber took on the challenge of creating a story of a relationship which she says, “Places the listeners in a perspective in which they feel more engaged in the relationship”. The song is about knowing your worth and making sure you’re not put in a position where you no longer know your importance and the way you should be treated.

This song was recorded with local musician, Marley Sola at NPV based in Christchurch. Marley added his creative spin on Lights Down Low and helped come up with crucial ideas that transformed the song for the best.

An already finished EP will follow in the early months of 2020.
