A True Testament To Kiwi Talent: No Comply Partner With Dual On New Single 'nothing To Lose'

New Zealand Music Month 2023 follows a theme of collaboration and community; celebrating artists coming together lifting each other up and working together to create something. Fittingly today we see a dynamic partnership between Kiwi artists No Comply and Dual on new single Nothing To Lose; a song that explores two different perspectives of love lost and love gained.

“We were all hanging at roundhead Studios, and Rory Noble started making the beat and the rest flowed very naturally. Fynn did his verse in one take whilst I came up with the melody, Jamie laid down some silky guitar and that was that…Then Neil Finn came down the stairs from his apartment as he heard it blasting through the monitors, he loved it and asked who the girl singing was…” – Maurice, Dual

“We wanted to bring people a feeling of nostalgia or relatability. Fynn’s vocals reflect on meeting a lover for the first time and growing with them. Maurice is reflecting on the struggles of a breakup and being caught in a state of limbo. All in all, a fitting collaboration in a lot of ways.” – Ethan, No Comply

Nothing To Lose is a collaboration between not only No Comply and Dual, but also incredibly talented Kiwi producers Rory Noble and Simon Gooding. The new single is a true testament to Kiwi talent.

To celebrate the release which coincides with NZ Music T-Shirt day, we have a limited t-shirt available for sale. $5 from each t-shirt sold will be donated to Music Helps, with mental health being a cause that is close to both of these artist’s hearts, as heard in their music.
