Wrath is a Taranaki hardcore metal band founded in ’94 as a five piece. After a few line-up changes and a trim down to a single guitar Wrath have remained as the current line-up since ’99. Wrath would be the first New Zealand band to stream live to the internet and debuted commercially in 98′ with the release of Rage on the Demon Nation Volume 1 compilation CD.
Some more accomplishments include competing at the 2001 Lion Red Raw Battle of the Bands national finals at the Powerstation with Cameron winning an award for Best Drummer. Wretch was premiered on Paul Martin’s Axe Attack on the nationally syndicated radio station the Rock FM and the album was Demo of the Week.
Wrath have supported Australian Death Metal heavyweights Misery and NZ’s 8 Foot Sativa, Meatyard, Grief, Malevolence, Sticky Filth, Kitsch, Cyanide, 7.62 Short, Daemon and many others.
Wrath perform original music only and deliver the goods with excessively brutal power, energy, enthusiasm and stage presence.
