That’s right – 2006 brings us the third release from Bridge City hardcore kings The Warpath. ‘Nowhere to Run’ is essentially the band’s first full-length and features 12 tracks, including re-recordings of a couple of the songs from the ‘Born Ta Fight’ EP. Featuring amazing artwork from former Evil Priest vocalist Dean Parkin, this album gives us more of their Death Threat / Blood for Blood styled punk hardcore brimming with hatred for everything in their path.
Lyrical comparisons could be drawn to Neglect or Terror; with some of the most angry and heartfelt vocals that lash out with energy and conviction at the listener. Backed by energetic drumming and precision guitar and bass work, ‘Nowhere to Run’ is without a doubt one of the most aggressive and confrontational records to emerge from New Zealand’s growing underground muisc scene. “Bring back the Hate?” It’s here, and it will take your head off.
The Warpath are:
Dylan Walker (vocals)
The Captain (guitar)
Josh Moffitt (bass)
‘Ron’ Jeremy (drums)
