The Hamma

The Hamma

The Hamma are a dirty kick-ass 4 piece rock band from Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, playing original songs and classic covers (ACDC, Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, The Sex Pistols, Quiet Riot, Judas Priest, Steppenwolf and more – see setlist below).

Originally formed in 1984, they played numerous gigs around New Zealand, and recorded the original tracks on this site in a garage.

After a 15 year hiatus while the members went their seperate ways to live less exciting lives, they reformed in 2010 with Pete (vocals/guitar), Kev (drums), and Hugh (Bass) and in 2011 added a second guitarist, Glen (aka Bomber), to the mix.

They started gigging again in April 2011 and are going in to the studio in Jan 2012 to re-record their originals.
