Amperzahn’s amperlicious amperzahnisms are always absolutely ampertastic. Maybe it’s a geek thing.
The Amper-chicks are Kristie Addison and Michelle Klaessens. They like sushi and shopping and short skirts and sherbet.
The Amper-dudes (a.k.a. Amper-studs) are Tory Staples and Joshua Smyth. The boys like romantic candle-lit dinners, long walks on the beach, and talking about their feelings… Yeah right!
Amperzahn have a reputation for following the good old New Zealand “Do It Yourself” philosophy. Their EP These Creatures was entirely recorded mixed and mastered by talented band member Michelle Klaessens, except for Calling which was partly mixed and recorded by Kristie Addison.
These Creatures is dark and haunting, with a sad sweetness to it. Featuring two female vocalists and a piano/keyboard combined with the traditional rock band instruments; guitar bass and drums.
These Creatures is the kind of alternative rock that insecure homophobes refer to as ‘girly-emo-music’. People who actually get it refer to it as ‘f*cking awesome!’.
