Vince Harder’s new single Sugar Coated is a catchy and relaxing tune throughout. The lyrics indirectly pointing towards the social media which creates fake images and sugar coats what’s underneath the surface. The melody reminds me of Stan Walker in the song Take It Easy, which gives the same RnB, Pop vibe and is very easy listening and pleasing to the ear.
The version of Sugar Coated (featuring Louis Carter) was a real compliment to the song. The song started off with Louis raping ”Sugar coated, gold plated” then it followed on with him humming the harmony in the background throughout. I particularly liked the part where Louis re-edited the end of the song with his flavour to remind people to “focus on what’s real”.
Sugar Coated is not the only song Louis Carter and Vince Harder have collaborated and produced together. In March 2018, they produced Greatest - a song with lyrics that keeps it honest and chill, a true Louis Carter style.
Louis and Vince are a perfect combo of music talent!
