Single Review: Little Mouse 1

Little Mouse is the first single from Bad Alien, the upcoming sophomore album of three-piece alt-rock act The Gemini Effect. With some nice consistent snare work, the track jumps right off the bat with a great organic sense of rhythm that has you bobbing your head and tapping your foot along with the beat, accentuated by some gritty power chords.

With an overall sound that is reminiscent of early Arctic Monkeys or perhaps Jet, Little Mouse has a classic rock sound, with a youthful vibe thanks to a vocal style that mirrors the cadence of the guitar riffs, and guitar tones that rings like a bell.

Carrying a nice pace with exuberant vocals, there is a lot to enjoy about this track. Simple riffs, but very cleanly done, with a sense of swing and optimism. A fun, peppy, that would no doubt get some movement going on the dance floor.

Hey there! I’m Alex. Long time music lover, long time reviewer, and now I finally get to combine those and be a music reviewer! As a guitarist, pianist, and vocalist, I have a great appreciation for musicianship and the technicalities that go along with a group of people making music together. My genres of preference tend to gravitate towards Punk/Rock/Heavy/Metal, but I also like to dabble in some Classical, Pop, and even some Drum and Bass. Hope you enjoy my contributions!
