Single Review: Street Noise 1

Singer songwriter and producer Tarn PK has been emerging in New Zealand’s music scene. He is a Wellington-based artist who, so far, has released two EP’s, received over 500 thousand streams on Spotify, and has landed himself in various Apple and Spotify playlists. His latest single Street Noise is here on the 4th of March, and it comes with big energy!

This track is a delicate alt-pop wonder, with hyperpop influence and indie folk undertones. Smooth production meets talented vocals, mixed with layered and rhythmic digital landscapes. The heaviness of the song is explosive, fashioning a darkness representing our deepest fears and intrusive thoughts. Tarn PK takes a journey of the self, where he learns to deal with what he cannot mentally block out.

Street Noise is a contemplative track that opens with a downtempo beat, and has a sonorous finish. I thoroughly enjoyed how Tarn PK pieces together this song; it’s very catchy, progressive, and would be a huge hit amongst any digi lovers. Heck, why box him!? This genre is “the future”.

About the author Gaby Ivanov-Giraldo

If I could come up with enough reasons to do music I’d be here all day. ‘Cause theres heaps. And… that’s why I’m here. A seemingly dead beat industry. Here to tell you it’s not! Anyway… I’ve been with MNZ five years. I love writing and do a bit of fun stuff on the side. I run. Love animals. People. Beer. Shhh. Haha! And I love to help others read about and understand the great local talents and bands we have here that should thrive! Because, why not?…
