Beginning with some straightforward but quite funky keys your soon steered to a very upbeat and chunky ensemble of music that energetically drives along with its super groovy reggae vibe.
SKRAM are a very high energy 3-piece pop group that have delivered a fine tune that embodies their claim of “energetic” perfectly. Its rhythmic bass, guitar and keys are in such good synch with the driving drum work that you can’t help but get caught in the groove and your body and mind are hypnotically bopping in time. The groove is uplifting, it makes you feel good and is quite motivating to make you get up and dance or even as song suggest be free and get on with Living Our Lives The band’s sound is a kind of Six60 but with more of an uplifting and up-tempo pop rock vibe.
Henry Ashby’s strong vocal performance lifts the song to another level with the passionate strains of Living Our Lives sung with such an expressive character it really grabs your attention. The group vocal joining in also round off the chorus with a spirited blast of gratifying energy.
Just when you think you may run out of puff there is a very nice extended break, beginning with the aforementioned funky keys grooving once more, which soon leads to a tremendous soaring crescendo of lead guitar and vocals that culminates in a very enthralling and satisfying conclusion. Phew it felt good and so revitalizing. Clearly a song that would go off live.
