Who are your favourite NZ bands and artists?

Smashproof, Ethical, Te Reo Takiwa, the Feelstyle, Submariner, SJD

What is your favourite NZ venue?

St James at the moment.

What is the best live gig you have ever been to?

Gangstarr

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Hopefully doing the same things but just better at it and getting paid more.

How do you keep in contact with your fans?

I dont know if I have got any fans.

What rumour would you like to start about yourself?

Very expensive but well worth the money.

What advice would you like to give to other aspiring musicians?

Work at it everyday, and you will get what you want.

I’m Lisa, Muzic.NZ’s founder and manager. I also manage the Aotearoa Music Industry Collective as well as the Aotearoa Rock Community and the Gig Space Facebook groups. I’ve been interested in music for as long as I can remember – I grew up listening to my parent’s records and watching the Top 40 Countdown on TV every weekend. I also played the drums and guitar in high school, and wrote lyrics for some of my friend’s bands. I come from a musical background; my Granddad was one of the main founders of country music clubs in Taranaki.
