When Kat McDowell was growing up in West Auckland, she always knew that singing was her thing. It was just a matter of where she’d decide to take her music.

The Japanese/Kiwi singer-songwriter studied jazz at Auckland Uni and then skipped the country to have some fun overseas in the UK. Her travels led her back to her birth country – Japan – where she is now signed with Sony management and living out her dream as a singer!

I’m Lisa, Muzic.NZ’s founder and manager. I also manage the Aotearoa Music Industry Collective as well as the Aotearoa Rock Community and the Gig Space Facebook groups.
