Sixlip

Formed in the winter of 2003, Sixlip are from Christchurch, and are a member of that relatively select fraternity – South Island hardcore bands.

The band’s first three months of existence were spent practicing, and in an unusual move, also recording. The band have self-recorded a five-song EP entitled Truth Be Told, which was released in 2004.

Describing their own sounds, Sixlip say their songs are “short and to the point, with intense off-beats and well-deserved breakdowns”.
