Toni Huata needs no introduction to New Zealand music fans. Since her introduction to the music stage as support for The Neville Brothers in 1993, Toni has appeared as a contributor to several Maori compilations. Toni Huata’s debut album is built around her grandfather’s composition for the 1986 Te Maori exhibition ‘Te Maori E’. – the album is a smooth mix of jazz, jungle, flamenco, dub, classical, poi and traditional.
