The Letterbox Lambs were a four piece Wellington power pop band formed in 1995. They were founded on a healthy base of influences ranging from favourite Flying Nun bands young and old to the best in international indie bands.
Since their self-released debut cassette EP Box Of Fluffies in 1996, the Lambs have made a series of single releases on collective projects, appearing on the 1997 Wellington music compilation Infocity Overground, RIANZ’s first and only Recording Artist Development Scheme EP and both Radio Active 89FM’s 21st Anniversary Compact Disc and the Wellington Music Sampler 2000.
Renowned as one of the best ever New Zealand bands to not quite get recognition. The powerful indie-pop four-piece were the quintessential Wellington underground band of the late 90s and early 00s before becoming defunct and scattering members to bands like Cassette, D-Super and Ejector. Paul now performs with Poultice.
The Letterbox Lambs disbanded in 2002.
