NZ hitmaker Jawsh 685 releases the ultimate late night, city cruising anthem, ‘Cloud 99’ Feat. Tia Tia

Hailing from South Auckland, the chart-topping, global sensation Jawsh 685 has dropped another banger, Cloud 99, which features US hit-maker Tia Tia.

Stamped with all the hallmarks of Jawsh 685’s signature siren jam sounds and addictive beats, alongside the dancehall tones of Tia Tia, Cloud 99 is a feelgood song that conjures up images of late night, city cruising. “Think windows down, lights all around, good times,” says Jawsh.

Jawsh 685 is renowned for creating world famous beats in the bedroom of his South Auckland home, including Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat) – his era-defining collaboration with US legend, Jason Derulo. And Cloud 99 is no different: “The beat and production was created all in my room, at my desk, like every other song by me!”

Jawsh says it was amazing to see his beat evolving into a song, with the addition of lyrics by Sean Rii and vocals from Tia Tia, who has penned multiple hits for heavyweights like Justin Bieber, Ava Max and Sabrina Carpenter. Tia Tia has gone on to make a splash as an artist in her own right.

“I was stunned when I heard the lyrics on the beat for the first time and knew it was gold. I couldn’t stop listening to it with a fat smile on my face, even envisioning a music video! It’s an addictive song and vibes,” says Jawsh.

Cloud 99 is the latest song in a string of killer tunes from Jawsh 685, including 2024’s TikTok viral hit Light Up’ with Pacific Island artist Sean Rii and Make Me Happy’, which saw him teaming up again with Jason Derulo.

It’s all a glimpse of what’s yet to come from the Kiwi beatmaker in 2025. “That siren jam and afro vibe is coming in hot this year.”
