Cool Disposition

Cool Disposition

Formed in 1991 by singer/guitarist Julian Dixon and harmonica player Matt Hay, Cool Disposition are one of New Zealand’s finest RnB acts. Their authentic sound and strong musicianship have impressed many local music followers, critics and international touring acts.

Twice named Wellington’s best blues band, Cool Disposition have played with world renowned blues artists such as George Thorogood and Buddy Guy as well as local blues legends Midge Marsden and Hammond Gamble.

Cool Disposition’s repertoire spans a multitude of blues and RnB styles from Vaughan styled Texas shuffles to Louisiana swamp and 50’s Rock ‘n’ Roll. Their tough uncompromising sound and style is, to quote one critic, as cool as their name suggests.

10 years after their first live performance Cool Disposition released their debut album ‘Safe in Sound’.
