Mark de Clive-Lowe Announces New Single ‘heart’

Mark de Clive-Lowe, world renowned pianist, composer, jazz musician, live remixer and producer is the latest addition to the Impressive Collective / BBE Music roster. This continues Greg Boraman’s partnership with Mark, having previously released the acclaimed Pharoah Sanders tribute album Freedom which featured the astounding vocals of Dwight Trible, and the equally lauded Hotel San Claudio album on which Mark, aka MdCL, joined forces with Shigeto & Melanie Charles.
Mark’s brand new forthcoming album past present (tone poems across time) is a deeply personal sonic exploration, blending reflections on family, heritage, and healing. Created in tandem with retracing his late father’s journey across Japan 70 years ago, this album is a collection of ambient jazz, emotional cinematic soundscapes that weave analog synths with field recordings from Japanese sacred sites and nature locations.
Set for release on 21 February, the first single heart is an intimate meditation on rediscovery and connection. Anchored by a poignant, cyclical piano motif, the track weaves layers of analog synth warmth and evolving textures. Building with quiet intensity, heart captures the yearning and solace of Mark’s journey to reconnect with his late father, ultimately arriving at a place of reflection and release. A sonic embrace of memory and healing, heart offers a powerful glimpse into the emotional depth of the album.
