New Little Bark Single + Video

New Zealand electro pop artist, Little Bark returns with her latest single and video for Poly.
Taken from her recent album, USB, the track is a dark, romantic sonic novel, named in reverence to the KORG POLYSIX synthesizer.
Directed by Stef Animal (The Golden Awesome), who also co-produced the album, the video is a dream like collage of 3am break up imagery: the stars, the moon, red roses. All with the healing power of dramatic 80’s pop music carrying it through the night and into a hopeful dawn.
Along with the new single, Little Bark is also playing this Friday (May 15) at Auckland’s The Kings Arms, in support for She’s So Rad ahead of the release of their new album, Tango. Full show details here.
Little Bark’s sophomore album, USB, was released last year on purple 12” vinyl, CD and fittingly a USB stick. Working with Stef Animal, she created an album laid out like a film soundtrack. Drawing on influences from Vangelis to Fever Ray, USB is filled with synth pop melodies interspersed with lush instrumentals. The album is available through Flying Out here.
“Little Bark – spoilt with talent, a kaleidoscope of ideas, full of irresistible hooks” – Radio New Zealand.
“Little Bark – has created a sprawling, assertive record that manages to be jubilant and tense, shadowy and punchy. It’s a timeless piece of work that echoes the kind of grand, emotive, electronic statement M83 and Fever Ray proposed, though it’s brasher than both“ – New Zealand Herald (4.5/5stars)
“USB is a sound-scape for the future, crafted from the deepest of hearts paired with beautifully produced synths, ambient sounds, warm, brittle and strong” – Cheese on Toast
