The Others Way Has Sold Out + 2018 Timetable Announced

With just one week to go, excitement is brewing in Auckland, ahead of The Others Wayon Friday, August 31. For the fourth year running, Auckland’s K’Rd is set to transform into a pumping haven of the freshest local indie, electronica, hip hop, pop and much more.
So much so, festival organisers can confirm the event has now sold out, and have announced both the evening’s timetable and a special extra show The Night Before The Others Way(Thursday August 30).

Our pre-Others Way party is back again with another fantastic lineup! Giving you an early chance to catch some of the artists on The Others Way 2018 line up without the timetable clashes, plus even more of favourite local acts.
Taking place across Whammy Bar, Whammy Back Room and The Wine Cellar in St Kevin’s Arcade, it’s just like a multi-venue event warm up the night before! Featuring Arthur Ahbez, Die! Die! Die!, Droor, Dual, Eyes No Eyes, Hans Pucket, Miss June, Polyester, Reb Fountain and tei.

GIRLS ROCK CAMP AOTEAROA ALL AGES STAGE
For the first time, the Others Way will be hosting an All Ages Stage in association with Girls Rock Camp Aotearoa. Taking place at the Pitt Street Sunday School Hall (78 Pitt Street, Auckland) The Others Way All Ages Stage will feature performances from The Beths, girlboss, The Goon Sax, Carb on Carb, plus three young bands selected by Girls Rock Camp Aotearoa – Edie, Wanderers and Mini Reptile Club.
Tickets are available for under 18-year-olds through Undertheradar.co.nzand instoreat Flying Out (80 Pitt Street). Doors open at 5pm for All Ages ticket holders, with the stage also open to all Others Way general ticket holders after 7.30pm, however, entrance preference will be given to all ages holders, as they have priority.

The Others Way has also added to open the festival will be the exclusive premiere of the Birthday Suite film directed by Sam Kristofski, who will also introduce the film at the start of the festival. Shot mainly on 35mm, the film is a surreal, dream-like visual fugue that compliments Kody Nielson’s recently released album, also titled Birthday Suite
50 acts will perform across 13 venues, including Anthology Lounge, Cross St Markets, Galatos, Neck of the Woods, Pitt St Sunday School, Samoa House, The Studio, The Thirsty Dog, Whammy, The Wine Cellar, The Vault.
