Pikachunes delivers a wry analysis of social media and status-anxiety over a retro-futuristic collision of new-wave and electro-pop on ‘Submission’ the first single from upcoming EP titled P.E, set for release early this September.
Social commentary via self-reflection is a common thread in Pikachunes’ music over the years and Submission takes this notion a step further.
‘For me this song was inspired by certain periods of self inflicted loneliness, where I found solace within the very shallow and self serving parts of technology as a whole.
It is equally inspired by witnessing how technology, social media in particular, is creating status anxiety within its broader users.’ – Pikachunes
