In The Shallows Release Delicate And Beautiful Track 'hold On' + Video

In The Shallows are proud to share their latest single and video, Hold On, a delicately beautiful track that was written as a hopeful reminder that dark times will pass, and is the latest track to be released from their upcoming self-titled debut album, which will be available on all streaming platforms on November 14th, 2020. The single is also accompanied by an equally poignant official video.

Speaking of the track, front-woman Danni Parsons explains, “Hold On was written about close friends, and our own feelings and experiences. It was intended as a beacon of hope for those who suffer with anxiety and depression. It is a loving and supportive reminder that whilst some days might feel unbearable, if you hang in there, it WILL get better”.

The Poneke-based act features members Danni Parsons, Andrew Bain (Fur Patrol), Nick Brown (Eb & Sparrow, Vorn), and Lance Shepherd, offer up an exquisitely silken sound that weaves together soaring harmonies and atmospheric acoustic guitar with intricate tales of love, loss, connection, redemption and empowerment.

Guitarist and vocalist Lance has worked as a touring/recording guitarist with Martina Topley-Bird (ex Tricky), with producers such as Johnny Dolla (Massive Attack) Leila Arab (Bjork), and has played a number of high profile radio, television and live shows throughout Europe and the US including BBC2, Later… With Jools Holland, Montreaux Jazz Festival and SXSW.

Vocalist Danni was raised in Wales, settling in Aotearoa in 2005. Once settled in Wellington, she went on to co-write lyrics with Mara Simpson (Mara and the Bushkas), and performed alongside other well accomplished New Zealand musicians, in Wellington band Soul Caravan. Danni also works in film and theatre.
