Kokomo Takes An Electronic Turn With Atmospheric New Single ‘Highway 29 Blues’

Bay of Plenty blues ‘n’ roots band Kokomo’s new single – the second from the band’s current Acoustic | Electronica Project – again finds the band mythologising the new Zealand landscape in two distinct takes on their distinctive downhome blues.

The acoustic band dip pair harmonica and dobro for an austere all-kiwi take on traditional blues while the song moves towards trip-hop in its expanded electronica take, complete with electric slide and a vivid atmospheric soundscape.
