Older Announces ‘Human+’ Album Release Date

Following on from their debut album Silence (2019) Older now build on their unique place in the New Zealand music scene with the release of their second album, Human+ to be released 1 November 2021.
Older are British producer Jel Legg & Kiwi singer Julie Legg and are based in Ōhaupō.
This is a hard-edged, up-front album drawing on multiple genres, with the resultant sound unlike any other in New Zealand.
The songs on Human+ are grounded in the notion of freedom from the confines of the standard relationship narrative. They reflect the beauty of the hidden human condition dampered by societal expectations – the struggle against gender and sexual oppression, particularly for the pan and polyamorous.
“This was an album I needed to write having read Sex At Dawn during a long summer weekend in a naturist park. I gained back that part of being Human that had been stolen from me by centuries of oppression and conditioning.” – Jel
“Our journey to arrive at this album is a shared one, albeit a different seat with a different view through a different window; but there’s the same overwhelming sense of liberation from the past, the limits of the present and the expectations of the future.” – Julie
Available on all streaming Channels from 1 November 2021.
