Eden Iris Releases New Single: ‘Time She Is Dancing By’
Time She Is Dancing By is the new single by Eden Iris, the first release following her debut album The Fuchsia & the Grey (2021). The song was produced by Evan Klar (Groenland Records) and was mixed by grammy award-winning engineer Tchad Blake. Time She Is Dancing By has a warm and upbeat feeling, melding elements of indie-folk and pop music together to create an organic, hypnotic groove. Lyrically the song is bittersweet with its sentiment: time is passing too quickly… (I could slip through the cracks of these black and white keys.)
Says Eden about the song:
“I wrote Time She Is Dancing By with Evan Klar on WhatsApp video last Winter. In LA, we were still in lockdown, and the days began to bleed together in that awful way they do when one feels no sense of purpose. At times I felt like we were all slowly disappearing, on our own islands, and time was the thread that was barely holding everything together. When Time She is Dancing By was written, I thought it was about waiting, anxiously, for the next season to come. But now I see it in a more positive light – making the most of the time we have here.”
