NZ Artist Announces European Album Release Tour

Dunedin based alternative rock artist, Michael Morris has announced a European tour for the release of his new album, titled Metamorphosis. The show itinerary includes six headline concerts in London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels and Lyon, throughout June and July this year.

“Metamorphosis, was recorded in France and New Zealand between 2019-2021, a process that posed many challenges. “The making of the album went on forever thanks to lockdowns and restrictions around accessing various recording studios within Paris”. Further balance had to be found upon the arrival of two baby girls and the finding of a new role as a father. “I had been touring full time for most of my adult life back in NZ, now suddenly I was a daddy and the new responsibility couldn’t be taken lightly. I had to hang my boots up for a bit, with no more sleeping on floor boards, but I remained dead-set on pushing through to finish this album”.

With the impending release, Morris is ecstatic with excitement for the upcoming tour. “To tour Europe has been my dream since I first picked up the guitar at age fifteen. It’s taken serious dedication to make it happen, but here we go! Most of all, I can’t wait to play the music live and share the moments with new audiences in venues that seem really receptive to my kind of art”.

Metamorphosis is available across all streaming platforms on Friday 27th May.
