Teamsquad’s new synth-rock EP ‘All Dream’ is an invitation

Whaingaroa’s TeamSquad have evolved since their first EP Sassbucket in 2020.
What was initially a way to let off some steam during isolation has become more refined, purpose-driven, and expanded with a new member, bassist Samuel Aleksandr.
Ruth and Kane Power wrote, recorded & produced the 4-song EP All Dream with a single purpose – to make positive music they would like to dance to, awkwardly.
It’s that dancing that is charmingly showcased on their music video for first single Sideways – set in downtown Bangkok, Tuk-tuk racing and cutting shapes through the infamous party street, Soi Cowboy.
If Sideways sets the scene, the rest of the EP doesn’t disappoint. At an epic 5 minutes a piece, each song features TeamSquad’s calling card: solid grooves, synth hooks, warm vocals, and an epic breakdown to finish.
“All Dream is an invitation to look up and out, keep our hearts open to each other – a friend called it ‘warm & heavy’ and that about sums it up!” says Ruth.
All Dream is released independently – available to stream on all the main sites and to purchase on Bandcamp. TeamSquad will be playing select shows throughout the North Island over Summer – follow on Instagram for announcements.
